Life as a princess - thinking about giving in

I am hungry! Trying to stay within a recommended calorie range, but seriously considering throwing in the towel today. I am hoping that blogging will keep me from opening the fridge and going for it. I also think it didn't help that dinner was both good and bad. Good because I enjoyed my most favorite food Macaroni & Cheese. It was bad however cause I overcooked the fish and had to limit my favorite food. So now I feel like I didn't really get a full dinner.

Had a nice relaxing day. Did absolutely nothing today and enjoyed it. As my husband told me the other day, "Sometimes it is just nice to do nothing."

God thank you for creating a time to rest. Help me to continue to eat healthy.

  1. Don't deprive yourself! If you're hungry, eat--but have something that will benefit your body like fruit or veggies and dressing. Smaller portions are definitely a bummer, but you can make them more filling by using whole grains, having a big salad before you dig into your entree, or mix healthy fillers like milled flaxseed into your food (this works well in sauces, dressings, and soups--and you don't taste it!)

    Don't punish yourself, if you're still hungry in ten minutes it's okay to open the fridge, but just be conscious of your choice of snack! Remember calories are just a baseline--there's good calories and bad/empty ones. If you're going over your target calories, make it good ones that will at least have some health benefits.
